Deaf people tend to be quite isolated, which makes them very hard to find and even harder to reach. However, they flock to Deaf events! Anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 Deaf will attend a Deaf Expo, which gives us a unique opportunity: though it is difficult for us to go where they live to reach them for Christ, this special “mission field” will come to us at these events. We do not go to meet old friends. We go with one purpose: Jesus has called us to be “fishers of men,” and we want to obey His call.
